The Company
Our client sells premium architectural furniture from a showroom in Melbourne. Demand is growing and the MD is busy building the business out nationally, so it's a good time to get in.
The Role
You'll sell direct, from high-end residential through to Tier 1 commercial projects, working with the architects and interior designers who put the product on the drawings. Some days that's hosting clients in the showroom. Most days it's out in front of them. You'll turn interest into quotes, proposals and presentations that land the order, and find a good chunk of the work yourself. You'll also represent the business at industry events and trade shows, and work closely with the marketing, product and operations teams. You report to the MD. One Saturday a month you're in the showroom.
Who We're Looking For
Sales experience in premium furniture. This one is essential.
At least three years in an outbound sales role.
Comfortable on the showroom floor and just as comfortable out on the road.
Commercial sense. You'll negotiate payment terms and review contracts yourself.
Organised and self-driven. You set your own targets and go after them.
Easy to talk to, and just as clear in writing.
The key is knowing how high-end furniture gets chosen by an architect or designer and ends up on the order. Whether it's a private residence or a Tier 1 fitout.
