The Company
Our client supplies fire-rated panel systems. It's a technical product where getting the specification right actually matters.
The Role
This is an entry-level specification seat based in Melbourne. You'll work with architects, designers and engineers, getting the system onto the drawings and making sure it's specified correctly. It's a technical sell. Detail and compliance do most of the persuading, so a lot of your time goes into explaining how the system works and where it fits.
Who We're Looking For
An engineer from the fire-rated or passive fire space who wants to move into sales. That's the ideal.
Architects, interior designers and junior technical people looking to move into specification are also welcome.
You don't need a sales background. You need to read a drawing, understand a detail and explain it clearly to the people who draw them.
Curious, organised and happy getting in front of people.
Every good spec manager started somewhere. This is a genuine first step.
The key is understanding how a product gets onto the drawings. Whether you've drawn them yourself or worked alongside the people who do.
