I built this tracker because I kept seeing the same problem. Candidates applying for 20 roles, losing track of who they'd spoken to, missing follow-ups, and ending up confused about where they stood with each opportunity. Sound familiar?
This is the same logic I use to manage my recruitment pipeline, simplified into a Google Sheet you can copy and use today.
What's in the Tracker
- Application log: Company, role, date applied, source, status
- Interview tracker: Stage, date, interviewer, notes, follow-up actions
- Offer comparison: Side-by-side view of salary, package, location, and role details
- Contact log: Recruiters, hiring managers, and connections with notes on each conversation
How to Use It
- Click the link below to open the template
- Choose "Make a copy" to save your own version
- Fill in as you go. Every application, every conversation, every follow-up
- Review weekly. What's moving? What's gone quiet? Where do you need to chase?
The discipline of logging everything means you never miss a follow-up, you always know where you stand, and you can make informed decisions when multiple offers arrive at once.
