AI Prompts for Building Products Sales

The Monday Morning Routine

Five prompts. Ten minutes. A full week planned before the first coffee gets cold.

Updated July 2026

Most reps start Monday by opening their inbox and reacting. Whatever's loudest gets attention first. The week runs you instead of you running the week.

This is a simple routine you can do every Monday morning using AI. It takes about ten minutes and gives you a clear plan for the week based on what actually matters, not what's screaming loudest.

Step 1:Territory check

Why: You can't manage a territory you're not paying attention to. This catches things you'd otherwise miss.

Prompt
I'm a sales rep covering [territory] selling [product category] to [customer types].

Here are my top 10 accounts:

[List them]

For each account, search for any recent news, project wins, leadership changes, or developments from the past two weeks that I should know about.

Best tool: Perplexity.

Step 2:Priority sort

Why: Forces you to focus on what moves the needle, not just what's easiest.

Prompt
Here are my active opportunities and accounts this week:

[List them with brief status notes]

Based on urgency, deal stage, and potential value, rank them in order of priority. For the top 5, suggest one specific action I should take this week.

Best tool: Claude or ChatGPT.

Step 3:Outreach plan

Why: The accounts that go quiet are the ones your competitor picks up. This prompt writes the outreach you keep putting off.

Prompt
I haven't contacted these accounts in the last 30 days:

[List them]

For each one, draft a short re-engagement message. Make each one specific to their business or a recent project. Keep them under 50 words. Don't make them sound like templates.

Best tool: Claude or ChatGPT.

Step 4:Meeting prep batch

Why: Batch your meeting prep instead of doing it one at a time. Faster and you'll actually do it.

Prompt
I have meetings this week with:

- [Name, company, day]
- [Name, company, day]
- [Name, company, day]

For each meeting, give me a two-line company summary and one specific talking point based on their recent activity or projects.

Best tool: Perplexity for the research.

Step 5:Week in one line

Why: Clarity. One paragraph. One priority. If everything else goes sideways, you know what matters.

Prompt
Based on everything above, summarise my week in one paragraph. What's the single most important thing I need to achieve by Friday?

Best tool: Claude or ChatGPT.

Pro tip

Save this as a template. Every Monday, copy the five prompts, update the names and accounts, and run them in sequence. It takes ten minutes and the difference between reps who plan their week and reps who react to it shows up in their pipeline within a month.

Better yet, save it as a Project in Claude or a GPT in ChatGPT. Feed in your territory, your accounts, and your product range once. Then every Monday you just update what's changed. The AI already knows the rest.
