Car Allowance Calculators: What's the Package Actually Worth?

Two calculators. One for candidates evaluating offers. One for hiring managers building competitive packages. Built for field sales roles in building products, lighting, and A&D.

Updated July 2026

A car allowance, a fully maintained company car and a novated lease can differ by more than $10,000 a year in real value. Most building products sales roles carry an allowance between $15,000 and $25,000, and a fully maintained vehicle is typically worth $30,000 to $31,000 in salary terms. Run your own numbers below, or jump straight to the candidate calculator or the employer package calculator.
